In order to access the beach between 1 June and 31 October you will have to make reservations. Reservations for La Pelosa are done via the website Spiaggia La Pelosa. Tickets are €3.50 per person and you are allowed to book for up to 4 visitors and no more than once per day. Children under 12 years of age do not require tickets.

Get to La Pelosa early in the day as it's bound to get crowded.

In the beginning, Stintino was a fishing village, very similar to Cala d'Oliva on the island of Asinara, a village that originally emerged thanks to 45 Ligurian families, who founded it in 1885, when the Kingdom of Italy established quarantine station and a penal colony there, 'evicting' the inhabitants.

LA PELOSA BEACH (Stintino) 2023 What to Know BEFORE You Go
Stintino is a small fishing village and a very typical Sardinian town. First built back in 1885, the town is a focal piece for the fjord on which it stands and was originally established to cater for a hospital for lepers.
